Google's Helpful Content Update is Over...
Welcome Back, Hustler!
I’m here to help you build your online brand and create income streams.
Currently, we’re on a 3-day workation (where we take dedicated time away in order just to put our heads down and work — we’re visiting Ocean Springs, MS).
I took a little walk this morning — you can buy shrimp straight from the boats - wild.
Read Time: 2.5 minutes.
[and welcome to the 221 new box destroyers that have joined us in the last 30 days!]
Niche Site Summit (22 Days Away…)
I saw a promotion for this summit, and it got me really excited.
25 different site pros will be speaking and sharing their current strategies!
(and after seeing tons of niche websites get hit hard by Google’s HCU, I can’t wait to hear what topics these folks decide to hit).
Yes, I already have websites and know how to build them.
But we should always be learning!
This is a great free summit, whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro.
I’ll be attending.
So come join me, and let’s hang out!
Google’s Helpful Content Update is Complete
I’ve seen even more brutal graphs.
I mentioned bloggers that lost 50% of their site traffic from Google’s most recent update.
I’ve now seen even worse - I’ve seen some 80% drops in traffic.
This is real and affects people’s lives.
Does this mean you shouldn’t start a blog?
Of course, it doesn’t.
Our sites don’t seem very affected, but then again, our traffic is down a good bit over the last 12 months.
While I love SEO and the massive amounts of traffic you can get, I’m now a firm believer in building out multiple traffic sources to your brand.
SEO - social traffic - email newsletters » all are important ways to get traffic and things you should be building.
The future of the internet isn’t “niche websites.”
I think the future belongs to BRANDS.
So be sure that with every piece of content you create, that you’re thinking about 5-10 years down the road.

Thoughts From Brilliant Creators 🤯
I had a great interview with Mark Matthews (the guy I told you about last week).
He’s the owner of 42 Freeway, a local media website, similar to our Mobile Rundown brand.
In fact, he shared with me that one of his Facebook posts that was shared more than 2k times made him over $1,000 — wild!
Make sure you’re subscribed over on YouTube, as that’s where our interview will be shown.
We talked about tons of things you’ll be able to take action on.
What We’re Working On…
Mardi Gras Content
We’re putting the final touches on our Mardi Gras blog content.
We’re hoping to hit 200,000+ monthly pageviews again this year during the month of Mardi Gras.
We did this last year, and we only had a few articles…
Building out Affiliate Content
We made our first $15.65 from affiliate marketing on our local media brand, as we’ve started strategically integrating affiliate links.
Someone booked a helicopter tour!
We are planning to do more trips ourselves and then create content as affiliates. Our goal will be to drive traffic to these articles and make sales.
Can’t wait to update you!
