How I’m Using AI This Week… [New Tools!]

Last week, I showed you my character counting tool.

Well, I got busy creating a few more.

I created a coin flipper.

I also made a Pomodoro timer (still needs some work).

I made a page on my site to list all of these tools as I make them.

And with so many AI tools coming out that I need to test, I also launched this doc to keep up with it all.

I’m also starting to add my use cases, so check the tabs at the bottom.

Feel free to bookmark - let me know what tools I need to add.

Marketing News, Insights, & Tactics (+ a workday bonus)

You deserve a super-useful marketing newsletter.

You don’t deserve marketing news and insights that bore you into an early grave.

Inbox Hacking promises to inform you (fast) with the bonus of getting you through to nirvana—the end of the workday🙏.

Your free subscription also highlights tactics and tools to make your work-life easier and more profitable. One of those tools is tripling users’ email click volume. Try that one for free when you subscribe to Inbox Hacking.

Domain Name Flipping [08/24/24 Update]

I’ve purchased 70 62 domain names. [no sales yet - my wife already asked 😁]

Out of these, I’ve picked $200 worth of purchases that will be a part of my personal challenge to see how fast I can turn it into $2,000.

I also have most of them set up for sale via Atom, Afternic, and a brokerage firm - you can’t catch a fish if you don’t have your line in the water!

What I’m Learning: You have to be particular about what you invest in. Theoretically, nearly infinite (billions for sure) of domain name combinations can be registered.
I plan to create more helpful content on my blog and YouTube around the industry.

[2x] Facebook Page Growth Project [08/24/24 Update]

This past week, Corporate Rain averaged $.02 per like - boom!

Of course, we still have to generate revenue from the page - so we’ll start testing.

We’ll link to articles for ad arbitrage, but possibly get on the Facebook bonus program and make money by entertaining the audience — time will tell!

Our other page is continuing to rock on as well.

Last week, we grew from 7,600 to 9,600

And I’m still gaining followers for $.02 each - which is nuts!

As of today, I’ve spent $225.17 growing this page.

I’m slowing my daily budget down and will spend more time testing growth ideas.

Fans are already starting to share our posts, which is cool.

If you want help building up this marketing channel, I’m happy to look into it with you.

What I’m Learning: You have to experiment with what your audience engages with. This is currently the phase we’re in. And if you had told me that I could grow a page for 2 pennies per US follower, I wouldn’t have believed you.

Amazon Influencer Program [08/24/24 Update]

Warning: no major updates on this one…

This project is currently on cruise control, but I’ll continue to update you and share a new thing I’m learning in each email.

An overview of the program is here and my first update ever is here.

I still have 103 videos (same over the last month or so).

I’ve hired freelancers to make 30 videos.

My total earnings equal $1,262.91 $1,343.89

When you factor in my expenses for video creation, I’m now at $40.21 per hour.

Cool, because $40/hr is an $80k per year job pay rate.

(if I had done all these videos myself, I’d be at $54.36 per hour for my time).

What I’m Learning: This is one of the lowest barriers to entry side hustles (after you get approved). This has pros and cons. It can be easy to put your time into it when it may not be the right focus for your time.

YouTube Music Channel [08/24/24 Update]

The Story: When I work, I usually listen to LoFi hip hop or Chillstep or Ambient tunes that help me focus. I launched my own channel with the idea that I would listen to my own channel and be my own best customer.

We signed up for a month of Suno and created 100+ songs to use in our videos. I created a template using Descript that allows for quicker song creation.
I made a vid showing my process if you’d like to check it out…

I’ll keep you guys posted on growth, but I think this channel can get monetized in less than a year. I’m tracking our costs to track ROI for building the channel.

What I’m Learning: We’re testing tons of different things — different thumbnail ideas, music types, and more. We’re using analytics to decide what works and what doesn’t.
